A Workflow for Short Videos
A practical guide to planning, preparing and reviewing an AI creation.
Plan backward from the viewing format
This article covers a portrait short-video workflow. Seedance 2.5 appears in the reference topic's URL; Dola's currently connected video model is Seedance 1.0 Pro. They should not be treated as the same integration.
Define one question or visible transformation, such as making an ordinary teacup the focus of a morning scene. Plan an opening, a change and a result before generating footage.
Keep a small shot list
| Shot | Purpose | Review |
|---|---|---|
| Opening | Establish the subject | Position and background clutter |
| Change | Show one action | Continuity and extra objects |
| Result | Show the finished state | Connection to the opening |
Use the settings actually available
Choose portrait framing in text-to-video when supported. For image-to-video, prepare the reference composition first. Duration, resolution and estimated credits are determined by the current model panel, not a tutorial's settings. Review one shot before producing the next.
Finish in an editor
Download outputs and arrange cuts, captions and pacing in your editing software. Leave room around important text for platform controls and use audio you are allowed to use. Dola does not automatically publish a finished video to YouTube.
Review on a phone
Watch the full export and inspect faces, hands, text, borders and audio levels. Check source permissions and the platform's publishing requirements. Keep your prompt, model and settings as a reusable production record.
Questions before you create
Can I use this exact feature now?
This page is a reference. The exact feature is not currently enabled; available alternatives are linked below.
Will an example be reproduced exactly?
No. Outputs vary with the model, input and settings. Source examples are inspiration, not a guarantee of a specific result.
How are credits shown?
The connected studio displays the estimate for your selected settings. Reference template durations and parameters are not Dola pricing.
